Of course the whole reference to black folks having kids without fathers was that it contributes to the problems that young black males are specifically experiencing and that father figures are people like 50 cents. But of course you have distracted from that because you are so twisted that you can't get beyond the point that its a problem in the balck community. Tell you what if black folks spent less time being offended and more time handling their business we wouldn't be having this discussion. Its time for us to step up!

I asked you for PROOF of your statement that Hip Hop glorifies out-of-wedlock children in the Black community. Don't send me to some stupid ass website that's based on your religious beliefs and the some STD website. Neither had ANYTHING to do with the Black community nor what you stated. Sorry but you've got that seriously twisted.

Rap was... The Furious Five, Kurtis Blow, KRS One, Run DMC, Public Enemy, NWA, Ice T and sadly last but in by no means least Tupac!!

Puffy and the Wack-Eye Peas = Rap falloff

Hip Hop was the term adopted to take away the negative stigma associated with rap and make it more marketable and crossover worthy. In other words, truly commercial shit with so much pop appeal and weak and meaningless lyrics along with average beats and samples.

Do you guys see my confusion? Even hiphop/rap fans can't agree.

lol it is confusing,yes

Let me break this down for everyone....

RAP - is the music, whether its conscious, southern, west coast, east coast, midwest, etc...

HIP HOP - is the culture, such as the clothing, the hair, the talk, graffiti art, the attitude.

I always think that the way people explain away Hip Hop vs Rap as curious...and essentially those hip-hop fans with a conscience (because most so called music fans these days have none that's why we have the Black eyed Peas, 50 Cents, & Jessica Simpson) make excuses for the power that Hip Hop so routinely abuses.

Sorry I'm not buying it. Hip Hop as a whole is a complete and utter disaster.

Essentially what most of that shit says is that if your not a gansta, hard ass thug than you ain't black and your certainly not a man! It glorifies coming from the street being from the streets and thanks to the ridiculous problems black folks have with having babies out of wed lock many a young black man grows up thinking that the only way to make is to hustle either drugs, or hustle being a rapper. No I'm not talking about Mos Def, or Common, or Talib, etc... Ya'll know who I'm talking about and yes Jay Z is one of them. This dude is so powerful he could do the right thing...but he won't

Hip Hop is very sad right now and unfortunately it has a death grip around the necks of two many black youth in this country...now thats keeping it real

Of course the record companies are at fault also cause they don't give a shit that these images are destroying black folks because they are making so much money and cheaply by developing all of these no talents

I have been listening to rap since 1980 (I was six years old) and my cousin would go to all the rap battles and shows. He would let me listen to all the tapes he recorded at the shows. I can tell you all this till I'm blue in the face, but I doubt it would matter to you anyway. I'm not a true Hip Hop head? This coming from someone who has a woman (Probably a video hoe) showing off her behind as an avatar.

If you read my post carefully, I stated that I can tell you all the so called credentials I have...but I wouldn't have matter to you anyway. And yes I do think all half-naked women shaking their butts in videos are "Video Hoes"...that is my opinion. Whether they are on rock, country, or whatever music genre. But the sad thing about it is majority of them are on rap videos...and who shows these rap videos?

I have a question for you...since you think that rap and hip hop is the same thing, I can actually state that graffiti art is rap? And Sean John and FUBU is rap clothing?

stick to the issues and stop being so fucking sensative...lets keep it real

Rap, hip hop, or whatever the hell you want to call it is totally different than it was back in the day when they actually could throw down in rap songs.

Today, there's definately a difference though.....

Rap: Talking over a boring stripped down midtempo beat.
Hip Hop: Singing over a boring stripped down midtempo beat.

Do you think I care if you "supposedly" put me on blast? It's not like have credentials to inform of anything either, so therefore, we are at an impasse.

Big Deal the chick on your avvie is a photo hoe, oops sorry, model...I can have my "supposed" skewed view of black women all I want because in case you didn't know...I am a black woman myself. And it's chick like her and these other video hoes that set a bad impression of how a black woman is viewed in the Hip Hop industry.

Lastly, if Graffiti Art is Urban Art and FUBU is Urban fashion...then could Hip Hop/Rap be Urban music? If so, could black people have started this urban music called Hip Hop/Rap? Hmmmmm....i guess you can take that how you want it.

Thats funny, you said that Hip Hop glorifies having children out of wedlock, I asked YOU to PROVE IT and yet YOU came up with NOTHING and you have the nerve to speak on me? Miss me with that shit.

Secondly, Tyra Banks has pictures of her with her ass in a thong and her ass out, is SHE A HO? How about ANY other models that show their ass? Are they hoes? Or maybe it's the fact that you're allowing your prejudices to get in the way of your logic and make you believe that since this is a black woman in my avatar showing her ass in a thong you AUTOMATICALLY link her as a ho. If she were white would you call her a ho for having her ass out? Didn't think so. Check your own self. Don't step to me unless you ready to deal with me.

when did I do any of this ==> Thats funny, you said that Hip Hop glorifies having children out of wedlock, I asked YOU to PROVE IT

Go back and find it. Thats my point you are arguing with a phantom and you are asking phantom questions. At no point whats so ever did I say hip-hop glorifies having children out of wed-lock. It just didn't happen and all you have to do is go back and read it again. The links I provided you gave statistic supporting my point that blacks have a dispaportionate number sof babies out of wed lock. Which is really what you had a problem with me saying

and to answer your second point...yes if you walk around with your ass out your a ho. Your not susposed to be walking around with your ass out dude and thats regardless of how much this f'up culture tries to tell you its ok.

Would you want your moma, baby sister, neice walking around with her ass out? Of course not..but you have been suduced into thinking that its ok..when it clearly isn't and its obvious why

Prove it, huh? Cool. Tell me this ISN'T you and you win, ok?

Essentially what most of that shit says is that if your not a gansta, hard ass thug than you ain't black and your certainly not a man! It glorifies coming from the street being from the streets and thanks to the ridiculous problems black folks have with having babies out of wed lock many a young black man grows up thinking that the only way to make is to hustle either drugs, or hustle being a rapper. No I'm not talking about Mos Def, or Common, or Talib, etc... Ya'll know who I'm talking about and yes Jay Z is one of them. This dude is so powerful he could do the right thing...but he won't

Hmmm? Someone just got caught in a lie and that someone was ALEXANDERNEVERMND. If you wanna check to make sure it IS your post, scroll to page 2, middle of the page. wink

Now, go bother someone else since you now won't answer TWO of my questions.

your dense....and I started this thread...you are the one who hijacked by talking about things that I never said.

thanks to the ridiculous problems black folks have with having babies out of wed lock many a young black man grows up thinking that the only way to make is to hustle either drugs, or hustle being a rapper

That statement has nothing to do with rap/hip-hop. It speaks to black people having babies out of wed lock!!!!! What in the heck is worng with you? Its right there. Nowhere does that say that rap glorifies having babies.

Rather I was pointing out that due to the problems with fatherless children in the black community that many young black males identify with what they see in hip-hop...which is the image of thugs and pimps and ganstas

eek Man you are not a very sharp person because you basically cut and pasted exactly what I said and still tried to imply that I said something else

and then you don't even have enough snese to admit when you were wrong...just ridiculous

Thank You Alexander for taking the words out of my mouth. He obviously does not want to take responsibility for his own skewed comments. I don't understand how your comment about BET and Hip Hop ended up talking about unwed mothers in the black community and me wanting to be a video hoe!

And in response to Stone Crib's comment...there is a difference between tastefully done photos, such as ones Tyra would do, and your avvie chick. And it should not matter what race the female is...a video hoe is a video hoe; a photo hoe is a photo hoe. If you would have read my previous comments I stated that before....or do I have to use smaller words for you to understand?
