I think Janet WANTS people to wonder about her sexuality. It's just her attempt at creating a little "controversy" and mystique. She was trying to raise a few eyebrows. It worked for Madonna so Janet said "Let me play this game too"...lol...
well you know Janet says on Film how much She Can't stand Madonna but Bites whatever Madonna does the first chance She gets.Janet though probably thinks of it as a Taste Test just like Pepsi or Coke? She probably will say I only had a Taste.Janet is Very Glassy-EYED Watch your Girlfriend Around Her?

If this is true, maybe it's just a publcity stunt. Both of them know that they'd get a lot of attention over something like this.

At the age of 36, it's very questionable for Janet to be "caught" rolling around on pillows at a party with a boy toy who is actually young enough to be her son.

I dont think its questionable... Its not questionable for me to have a 21 year old girlfriend if I were 36..

Here is where its a catch 22 and it sucks for you women ---

If a strong woman wants a young man WHO CAN LAST .. by all means... GO AND GET YOURS!

If the relationship is all about sex, then that's cool if that's all they're both looking for.

But a 21 year old and a 36 year old are from different generations. Relationships between people of different generations often work on a sexual level, but you have to come out of the bedroom eventually. What can happen is that once they're out of bed, they may not have anything else in common to hold them together as a couple.

True but a TON of May/December relationships work... what makes you think they cannot, and why would anyone care? I would think most people would want to applaud Janet for turning the tables.. shit just on the age alone, and then add to it a public interracial dating.

I personally think its great and people (not necessarily you) but the general public love to speculate on relationships that are not their own. Shit, its hard enough maintaining your own, imagine if you are in the public light?

Gossip about people who earn a living in front of cameras is part of what comes with fame. That's why there is a whole industry built around gossip magazine and weeklies like National Inquirer, Star, The Globe etc. If anyone has a problem with it, they should choose another line of work other than "celebrity."

I know some May-December relationships work and some don't. My point was that the ones that do work seem to either be based on money, with an older man using his money and influence to attract a younger female, or on sex.

I agree Rave, if you can't stand the heat stay out of the kitchen.. meaning if you're not willing to become a public persona then you shouldnt be a movie/rock star.

But we also shouldn't use that an excuse, a crutch to berate people on their relationships (now if they say stupid shit or do stupid things, then its all fair game - lol) but otherwise a relationship is a personal thing and I can respect that.

Have you been in May/December affair? Unless you've taken a survey how do you know what its based on? I know two couples that are more like JAN/December... in one the female is older and in the other the male is older and BOTH have been together for a very long time. One for ten years and the other for 8.

I think that your observations are much to vague -- but that's neither here nor there because Janet/Justin dont know us nor do they care about us... but,, after all, this merely a discussion forum nothing more, nothing less.

Thanks for your thoughts.

I understand what you're saying; issues can arise. That said, my father is thirteen years older than my mother, and they recently celebrated thirty-five years of marriage...
