Terrence Trent Darby

I loved his first album..I saw him in concert during that tour. I remember that in a Rolling Stone article during that time, he was compared to MJ and Prince.
after that..pfffft.
I still love the first album

Dude, he's done WAY better stuff than his first album. Symphony Or Damn blows it away (and that is saying alot, as I loved the first one)

I have all his albums, and indeed Wild card is really worth a try if u want to re-discover him!

Saw him live during that tour in 2003, and he is great live!!

Well, i guess he spoiled things for himself back then.. but.. nice thing is that u can see him perform in very small venues now!

He's one of the greatest singers when he's at his best.
He's got that old soul quality, you know what I mean?
Like Sam Cook & Jackie Wilson.
I remember seeing him live in 1993 & he & the backupsingers
did an amazing acapella number sharing just one mic,doo wop style smile Awsome!

What are you talking about? I can understand if you don't like his music but to say he has a weak voice is completely incorrect.

And this goes to everyone on this thread....

If you wanna see how talented this guy REALLY is...and you wanna see for FREE...

Go to www.youtube.com and do a search for "Sananda Maitreya"

I uploaded a ton of live footage from him that will show you just how insanely talented this artist is.

I recommend you check out the live performances of "Vibrator," "Holding On To You," "She Kissed Me," "Let Her Down Easy," and "Do You Love Me Like You Say?" to start with!

And for the record, his best album is "Wildcard (Joker's Edition)." And "Vibrator," "Symphony or Damn," and "Angels and Vampires" are incredible as well. If you have NOT heard "Wildcard" then you really have no business saying which album is his best cuz "Wildcard" is incredible. And "Angels and Vampires" is fantastic and you should purchase it at www.sanandamaitreya.com

Yep, I totally agree with you Anx. I love TTD's work. Someone above said he has a terrible voice (wtf). I don't know who that dude is listening to because TTD has a great voice. One of the best IMHO!
