MUSICIAN was a very good mag that covered rock R&B and jazz.
VIBE really sucks. Too much fashion and hip-hop. I can't stand that mag.
MOJO is very good, but everything seems to be either retro or obscure
from an American prospective.

I think we need a new mag. Would YOU subscribe to one
oriented around funk and black bands (no solo singers or hip-hoppers!!).
S'hell Yeah.I Combined you know the Shell Gas Station Name with Hell&S***.S'Hell Yeah all the way.Man give Me a Magazine that talks about Black Bands&Acts that truly can Jam&have a Body of work that you still talk about 20-40 Years Later.you are so Right on MOJO Magazine they will Run Good Stories but it will be on the Chambers Brothers for Instance&then they will stop.or they will do a story on a Member from the Gamble&Huff Stable that was in the TSOP House Band for like a couple of years as to doing a Main Feature on Bunny Sigler or Mcfadden&Whitehead.Musician was Good until about a Decade ago they did a Dinky Cover with Ice Cube on the Cover& I thought it was rather Corny the whole Presentation&Vibe IMHO.Vibe tries to hard to Appeal to People&Be all things to all People but end up Empty Handed overall IMHO.I Like only a few things about there Magazine.I Miss the Old Rock&Soul,Miss when Black beat,Right On!etc.. all mattered as well.Goldmine has some moments.but overall Man I'm with you we Need a Mag to get with.

I never renewed my subscription to R.S. when it ran out...cuz I got less and less interested in what they were promoting or who they had on their cover.

It used 2 mean something when u made the cover of Rolling Stone, now all it takes is the latest flava with the latest pop hit!

Next thing u know, the winner of "American Idol" will grace their cover.

I currently have no magazines delivered, but I'll buy a mag from the rack if I like who's being interviewed.

Have you noticed even Fricke is writing less and less to that whole... thing?

i lost all respect for Fricke when he went on MTV following Kurt Cobain's death and said that he was my generation's John Lennon. John Lennon was taken from us by a wacko. Cobain was a selfish prick who left his daughter fatherless. i don't identify with anything Nirvana wrote. Fricke and his fellow RS alumnus Kurt Loder can both kiss my ass...

MOJO ain't cheap. In the states it's $8.95!!!

Are you into the JAMBAND scene? It's like a continuation of the WOODSTOCK vibe that Deadhead have been grooving for the longest. Well how 'bound a black funk jamband happening? Spmething to think about, eh?
