THE IMPRESSIONS appreciation thread

I've always been a fan of Jerry Butler and ESPECIALLY a fan of Curtis Mayfield but Im just now getting into the Impressions music. A lot of it, I've heard before like "People Get Ready", "We're a Winner", "Choice Of Colors"...what do you think of the Impressions. What is your fav album by them?

I don't have any of their albums but I now that Mayfield's and Butler's voices complemented each other.

i don't own any albums, but i'm familiar with the "iceman" and i love curtis mayfield.

"sad sad boy"

"talkin 'bout my baby"

i'm not sure if jerry butler did this one by himself -"strawberries"

and thats the extent of it. i'm more a fan of stuff curtis mayfield made during the 70s including all of the soundtracks to superfly, sparkle, and claudine.

What about Leroy Hutson ? Also an Impressions man and a name that , unfortunately, doesn´t get mentioned that often.
