I hate to say it, but if this had happed to a "white" musician, there wold have been at least one movie of the week on the events that lead to his death. There was hardly a mention in the media when this happened. | |

Both of them died. I remember EXACTLY where I was at when the news of it came. Me and my buddy where at a stop light in Richardson Texas, a suburb of Dallas, in 1999 and it came over the radio and me and him just went silent for about 15 seconds. We couldn't believe it. It came on the heels of the Columbine tragedy that same week or so and it really didn't get much airplay due to that school shooting.
