Hey you! Get into my car (who me?) Yes you.....

Its hard to believe Robert "mutt" lange had a hand on this song

Its one song that is such a cheesy feel good blast from the past.

And the video lol

Billy was acting all gangster on that spoken intro. Fiddy took lessons

No lol But the song is. Released in 1988 eek Sounds kinda goofy next to guy's "groove me" LOL

Also, robert "mutt" lange was not known for his vast rnb roots production wise LOL

Its better then "dancing on the ceiling".

only when you consider the source? Billy was all fluff, the only song I liked was "the going gets tough" or whatever the title was just cause it was used in one of the romancing the stone movies.

"the going gets stuffed", yeah, that songs cool. Funny video. Again, its so god damn 80's, its classic.

I dont know if billy was trying to be "hip" on "get outta my dreams.....", but that intro is no way to treat a hooker.

What happened to billy anyway? I dont think robert lange did much pop/rnb after this, except for working with bolton.

I like Billy's voice a lot,not to be mistaken with his music..(though I must say that "loverboy" has got a brilliant hook/riff..but one of the worst intro's to a single I can think of,LOL...)

Seriously, listen to the way he sings those corny lines in all those singles. The man's got a very cool voice if you listen close enough..

His early 80's albums like "Nights ( Feel Like Getting Down )" and "Inner Feelings" are my faves .
They have musically more solid arrangements from soul and funk .
Completely different from his later and (imo) lamer commercial songs like "CarĂ¯bean Queen" , "When The Going Gets Tough" , ...

That song SUUUUUCKS!!! It pretty much killed Billy Ocean's career. You didn't hear too much from him after that one. Mutt Lange should've saved that song for his wife Shania Twain lol lol
