SNL : Arctic Monkeys I'd be real interested in hearing how Arctic Monkeys went down on SNL... heard they were on either last week or this week coming.
They're something of a phenomenon over here... what do you yanks make of them?

I am a fan of this band, but I was not that impressed with the SNL perfomance. They seemed a bit nervous. I saw them in San Francisco on Monday night, however, and they were incredible.

I just keep seeing these glowing reviews for them--especially in the British magazines I usually trust like Uncut and Q.

With all the hype I should have expected some average stuff, but I didn't. And I was disappointed.
I only saw the first song, and I will say that it is slightly different in structure than most rock & roll. So maybe they're up to something new after all, but I can't say they blew me away. But it made me suspect that the people who say they're the second coming of the greatest British band ever think they're the second coming of The Stone Roses, not the Beatles. My Legacy
