Jay-Z's "Purple Album" Anyone know anything about this? I heard one track that samples "Purple Rain". Do all the tracks sample Prince music? And is this CD commercially available? Don't hate me 'cause I'm NOT beautiful | |

It's a mash-up some DJ put together, not an official release from Jay Z. It's not bad actually, even though I'm not much of a JayZ fan. There was a series of these mash ups, one even featuring the Beatles White Album mixed with JayZ's Black Album. | |

It's a mash-up some DJ put together, not an official release from Jay Z. It's not bad actually, even though I'm not much of a JayZ fan. There was a series of these mash ups, one even featuring the Beatles White Album mixed with JayZ's Black Album. The guys name is DJ Danger Mouse. He is one of the colaborators on Gnarls Barkley (Check out my Gnarls post) with Cee Lo and most are familiar with his production for the Gorillaz. The Album you speak of it called the Grey Album. wow, I assumed that we were talking about the Grey Album.
Had no idea that there was a Purple Album too. Though, Danger Mouse had nothing to do with it, other than inspiration. Later Cause tomorrow is taking too long
