i just don't quite understand what she (or any other mid 30s and beyond woman) should be wearing. there is no skin showing...cuz, you know, people would bitch about that too. she's got converse sneakers on, army cargo pants, a white shirt, a denim jacket, and a light scarf with some fashionable sunwear. what is the problem?

should she be wearing a turtle neck sweater and dress pants? what IS 40s fashion? who has decided what this fashion is? i'm curious to know because i must have missed those issues of vogue, w, v, or id.

wait, is she supposed to have some kind of hot librarian couture? maybe that's it. she should have her hair in a bun and wear christian lacroix suits with some marc jacobs specs connected to a diamond linked chain that hangs around her neck.

From what I'm being told here, that's supposed to be fashion out there in Cali., which makes me damn glad I live in Metro Detroit cuz here...that ain't fashion, it's tacky! For someone of Ms. Jackson's stature...it's too fucking tacky!!


Oh, and just in case I was being too harsh, I showed the picture to my 17 year old daughter and her friends. After they stopped laughing, they agreed that she looks like a hot mess in that outfit.

Really though, the only thing worth ripping on is those glasses - they look very 80's. The jacket (as stated earlier) is a bit Mary Poppins. But she's thrown together & it's all cool IMO. Like someone else said, I'd hate to be photographed on the weekend... or during the week for that matter!
