Phil Collins solo efforts seem to be more commercial and therefore more satisfying in a narrower way, especially songs like "In the Air Tonight" and "Against All Odds."
Sabrina, don't just stare at it. Eat it. But I also think that Phil Collins works better within the confines of the group than as a solo artist-and I stress the word artist. This is "Sussudio," a great, great song, a personal favorite.

This is one of the funkiest songs that I have ever heard. That horn breakdown is just killer. When I heard this back in '85 (even though I was just 10!), I knew that Phil Collins had soul.

Nobody ever talk about though it did good 4 im. I love this song. It has that nice 1999 feel in it and that drum beat cant be beat. The live versions I have heard of it are also good. I know some people make fun of the song and called it corny but I think it was a finely crafted cut. Just say the word! Su Su Sudio! Sussudio Phil Collins: Roland 909, vocals David Frank: Keyboards Mini Moog bass, DMX Daryl Stuermer: Guitars The Phenix Horns arranged by Tom Tom 84 [Edited 3/12/06 10:46am] A Yamaha DX7 was one of those keyboards use in the making of THAT song. Synths Rules!!!

If I had to pick a favorite Phil Collins song, it would be "Take Me Home".
Sussudio is cool though, especially if you're driving on the highway all by yourself.

yeah, the roland is definately on that album anyway. David frank is on a few of the tracks, dude was in the system. If i remember, that album is quite uptempo, and "dont lose my number" is my fav from it "billy, billy dont u lose my number". Great song.

Fast ot slow song? Not trying to interrupt, but get the album "sussidio" comes off, which is called "no jacket required". Quite alot of uptempo's on there. Genesis had one good uptempo called "invisible touch". Very poppy, and of course the fun "i cant dance" was midtempo but kinda funky. "hang in long enough" is my fav phil uptempo though. He doesn't do ''enough'' uptempos personally. Still when he does, they are good. "heat on the street" is good too, though that is one of his social songs, still uptempo though.

I loved this song when I was a kid and I still do. It made sense once I found out that Phil was influenced by Prince and the 1999 album. I read that he would listen to 1999 everyday on the way to the studio. You can tell with the synths, part of why I like the song. Plus it's a fun song but I still don't know what Sussudio means . I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that
