Are you taking creative license with the title there?

No. The title is given by the person who wrote it; it is, if I am correctly remembering, a Pepe Willie song and is actually on the last released version of East 94.

Prince recorded his own version (probably to show off) and I must admit; Prince's is far superior.

I've never heard the original and I don't even know if I knew it was a cover.

I am no BorisFishpaw yet, but...

LoL

Anyways.

I have moved over to Dutch songs from the last century. I am getting nostalgic now!

Okay, my father was a big fan of certain Dutch singers (in the French tradition) and I myself have always been suseptible (too lazy to check the spelling on that one) to Dutch language 'kleinkunst' songs. No way of translating that one; they are songs normally written for the really weird blend of stand up comedy and singers we have.

Or for television; short catchy songs.

In Holland there is a guy that compiled the 100 best Dutch songs (in his opinion) and just recently published a book with the 400 best lyrics in print. Both publications are amazingly much fun to me. Some songs I don't know, but am now tracing them down. LoL

So a new addiction! Woohooooo!

I am now listening to 'Op een mooie pinksterdag'. And moving on to 'Meisjes'. This will only make sense to Dutchies, I am afraid.

Which he never used himself on official releases not to steal Morris' thunder, but it has to be said; I rather hear Prince's Morris-voice than Morris's own.

It that bad?

I love the fact that he shouts MACEO on that track.

I hope he at least asked Maceo to overdub it with some horns...
