What happened to the beautiful chanteuse singing on the bridge in Paris? I have to admit, I still liked her and I held on through her short-shorts and Jermaine Dupri in the Straight Up video and Chante’s Gotta Man and Bitter (somehow both songs grew on me). I still have hope for her. Maybe Kenny has been able to bring her back down to earth.

I saw Chante Moore open up for Barry White in August of 1995 at the Greek Theatre (outside) in LA.

I barely remember her because Barry was so fucking interplanetary that night. Man, Barry was AWESOME. Good god. Well, that's another thread.

Chante Moore gave a very good show for being somebody's opening act...she did about an hour set if I remember correctly...I remember being impressed by how much raw talent she had...that was VERY obvious.

It's a shame what the industry and current state of culture has done to people like her. There really isn't a place for them anymore. She has to show her ass and titties and try to do something of substance with the wackness that passes for producing and songwriting these days...and really nothing good can come out of that. She doesn't have nearly the juice to play by her own rules, like a Sade does.

He was also with Laura from "Family Matters". His song, "For You" was written for her. I had the pleasure of meeting Chante a few years ago. She is a beautiful lady, no bigger than a minute though. Her daugther by Kadeem is so pretty. I think Chante is one of the last true singers out there.
