Z Cult Fave/Missing Persons-The "Spring" Album Released in 82, this album was a HUGE part of my life when I was in Jr. High school. Growing up in Sherman Oaks, Cali., this was THE album for all of the "valley girls". I heard it everywhere. There was no escaping it, although I never wanted to cuz I dug it. 3 bigtime singles came from this album for Missing Persons; "Words", "Destination Unknown" and "Walking In L.A." The band was hella cool. They were good musicians, who had played with Zappa. Terry Bozio and Warren Cucurrullo (who played briefly with Duran). But for me, Dale Bozzio was IT! Her on the cover of their EP from 80 says it all. Anyway, their "Spring" album is an all-time fave mine. It gives me loads of great memories and it has very cool songs on there. Who else likes this album? SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."

This got me through summer school way back when. My faves are: Noticeable ones, Tears, It aint none of your Business, Walking in LA, Windows. Hell, practically the whole joint. I agree, Black, they are fantastic musicians and these were well written songs.
Plus I was always tryin to peep Dales nipple through those plastic bubbles of hers A happy face, A Thumpin Bass, For A Lovin' Race. PEACE.

When I heard this I said this is the kind of New Wave I can get into.
It didn't suffer from what i'd call the WWW Factor (wimpy, weak & whiney). When Walkin' in L.A. came on the radio, that bad boy was kickin'. The fact that Terry Bozzio was in the band let me know that these cats could play. And having Dale Bozzio to look at didn't hurt either. Anyone notice how Gwen Stefani lifted some of Dale's vocal mannerisms? Mental Hopscotch was another goodie from that set. Another fav tune is Give... from Rhyme & Reason. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. yup... Oh hell yeah. But man, wasn't Dale's "Riot In English" sorry?! It was just like Clinton's "Cinderella Theory". Sorry as hell. I was like "C'mon P. U have these great, cool artists on your label.". SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."

Id listen to " giddey up Baby be mine" and laugh my ass off. So Strong was the only song I like on that one. It was one of those albums that I actually tried to convince myself was cool. You should never have to do that. A happy face, A Thumpin Bass, For A Lovin' Race. PEACE.
