saw EDITORS tonight! just back from the Editors show at the 930 club in DC, and it was fantastic. Incredible energy; the songs are really powerful in a live setting.
2 thumbs way up! They basically performed the entire "The Back Room" album, plus the b-side "You are Fading", and 2 songs that "might end up on the next album." They opened with Lights and closed with Fingers in the Factories. High points for me were Blood, You are Fading, Camera, Munich, All Sparks. The singer - i can't remember his name at the moment - looked much younger and smaller than I expected. He had an amazing amount of almost manic energy. He also seemed very humble and actually talked about how amazed he was when a guy in the audience yelled up a request for a B-Side. The opening band was terrible... this tuneless whiny drivel that was about on-par to what you might hear at your local high school talent show. I forget their name... But Editors just ROCKED!!! Turns out that Editors and Stellastar are taking turns headling, and we got lucky tonight - it was Editors turn to open. I like Stellastar, but we didn't stay for them. Gotta get up early.....

Glad you liked the show. I wanted to see them in San Francisco a few months ago, but I didn't get my shit together. [Edited 3/29/06 22:09pm] a psychotic is someone who just figured out what's going on
