The Boys - "The Saga Continues..." Where are they now? Does anyone know what happened to this group? I have "The Saga Continues..." (a Motown release) on CD, and have had it for ages, and, I find it surprisingly funky for such young guys, with great production. So much so, I still bring it out now and again. And I still find it fresh, if a little boyish.
I'd love to know what Hakeem Abdulsamad is up to these days, production-wise. I think he's a very talented producer. I had this release in my Walkman for so long for a couple of years in the early nineties, and I feel it's my duty to chase these guys up. ---------

I knew a girl in highschool who spent an enormous amount of time trying to convince me that groups like ABC and The Boys would stand the test of time. She believed that in twenty years The Boys would go down in history like the Doors already had. I still laugh at this from time to time whenever I hear the name of one of these groups comes up.

Apparently Motown dropped them after this release, not being happy with the directiion they were taking. Or so I've read. Oh, and I'm male, last I checked. ---------

I just saw the "Dial My Heart" video the other day on BET...they were so cute, what were these boys, 8 thru 14?
They were also featured on Michael Jackson's "moonwalker" video, where the children re-did "Bad". Although they were cute...their time in the spot light was destined 2 b limited...they went the way of "Another Bad Creation" (another little boy group), they grew up. |

I have their debut album from 1988 with the singles "Dial My Heart","Lucky Charm" and "A Little Romance".They were a charming little group and they were fortunate enough to be produced by LA and Babyface at a time when they were the hottest producers on the planet.
Here are some other forgotten groups that I really miss... ***Shai---Remember their 1992 debut album 'If I Ever Fall In Love'? Reminds me of making out in the backseat with various girlfriends...lol...I love the songs "Baby I'm Yours","Comforter"and the remix version of "If I Ever Fall In Love". ***SWV---Their 1992 debut album was da bomb!! "I'm so into you...I don't know what I'm gonna do..."I heard a rumor that they are reuniting. ***Jade---Y'all remember Jade with the hits "Don't Walk Away" and "I Wanna Love You".They were sexy! "This is what it sounds like when we make love..." ***EnVogue---They're still around, but none of their recent albums can compete with 1992's 'Funky Divas'.Remember the songs "Hip-Hop Lover","Give It Up,Turn It Loose","Free Your Mind" and "Love Don't Love You"? ***Salt N Pepa---Lawd,I LOVE these ladies!! I'm gonna start a petition to get them to reunite...lol..."Shoop" was da bomb!!
