i know this issue about MJ and Lil kim's plastic suregery has been discussed before but i waz recently on another board and the topic came up and i waz very surprised at some of the responses people gave( i would post the link, but i don't hvae it ) Responses like " so what if they have surgery it's no body's business but thier own" and " Black stars have been lightening thier skin for years" and my personal favorite " everyone hates on Michael and lil kim for doing what they want to do and having surgery and shit but yet other stars like Beyonce , Trina (check the "here we go again" video with Kelly Roland) Ciara (check the "I know that he won't break my heart" video) she looks like a blonde barbie in that video but evryone hates on Michael and Kim. leave them bitches alone!!! "

while i agree that Michael and Kim should be allowed to do whatevr they want to do (it's thier bodies ) i don't like the underlying message associated with those suregries. the kinda re-enforcement of the white supremacy idea that causes Black people to feel inferior and have a negative self image .

I wouldn't have such a hard time with these people if they were butt ugly in the first place. But when you have naturally attractive people completely changes their faces for the sake of it, then I have a big problem with that. I mean MJ two best assets his smile and his warm eyes have virtually disappeared because of his obsession with surgery.
