I haven't seen all her movies but she's been terrible in everything I've seen her in. She's just too damn self conscious - she doesn't seem to give up control & just BE. Think about her lines in Girl 6 - the simplest shit EVER & she was fake as fuck  She's just SO aware, it just doesn't work for acting    I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! I'm just giving an example of a film I've actually seen, especially since the part was so small & simple - she should have totally nailed that one. ADMIT IT DAVID!

Director Quentin Tarentino has said the exact same thing that Sean said.He has been wanting to do a movie with Madonna for awhile now.But I agree with you....Madonna's superstar image is too strong,and it overshadows any movie that she appears in.Even if she is playing a small,insignificant role,the film is instantly considered a "Madonna movie".That's alot of pressure and she has often complained that she gets blamed for everything. 4 rooms wasn't like that. I think small roles fit her better, because she can shine and then poof done. I think she is capable of being a decent actor. I've seen it. It's just, as said before, the movies themselves are crap. No,I'm serious.This movie is TERRIBLE For years,I had heard many fans defending this film,swearing that her acting is superb.So I kinda expected it to be some kind of "lost classic"....an edgy,erotic thriller in which Madonna gives an incredible,knock em' dead performance.But it is a total bore,although this isn't really Madonna's fault.The film is just whack,no matter who starred in it.The only good thing about this movie is...Madonna looks HOT!! It was filmed during the Sex/Erotica era,and she looked sensational back then.
I remember watching her "Bad Girl" video back then and thinking "THIS should be a movie".I was kinda hoping that "Dangerous Game" would be similiar to that video,but alas,it isn't. | |
