The Wylde Bunch

I saw a cool video late last night on VH1 Soul by a band called the Wylde Bunch. It seemed like a mixture of hip hop/funk and rock. Anyone else know these guys? Are they worth checking out?

I had the pleasure of playing at a festival in France with Beastie Boys and Kraftwerk back in December 2004. Wylde Bunch were playing the same festival too.

My band (Swami) and The Wylde Bunch were on the same floor of the hotel, now those are some cool ass guys. We kicked it for a while in the hotel bar too, really nice guys. Caught a bit of their performance too and it was pretty cool.

Swapped emails with their bass player, spoke to him a couple of times last year, will probably link up with them again next time i'm in LA.

very instrument-heavy! i think around 3 or 4 vocalists, guitar bass and drums and a big horn section. very hip-hop funk, the playing wasn't that tight though, it resembled a jam session mostly. it was quite good though.
