Come on now. She was hired to do a job.

The last time I saw Betty Wright was when Puffy hired her to coach Sara Stokes from that "Making The Band" series.

My co-worker is her cousin and she took me to see Betty last year for my birthday. Great show. Her voice is still great and she was dancing better than most women half her age.

Sadly, her son was murdered recently. Joss Stone attended the funeral.

Keep Betty in your prayers y'all.

Betty's o-kay, Clean Up Woman, Tonight is the Night, She's Got Papers On Me and she did a cut or two with Tomi Jenkins on his solo album years ago.

Oh, good gravy. Why bring up Joss Stone in this? Betty was around long before Joss was a screech in anyone's throat, so why sum up her career for that? You act like she released the cracken upon the world. I love Betty. She's one of the greats from the Miami soul scene.

I love that one, too. I wonder how she feels all these years later about being known as "the cleanup woman." The Babysitter is a funny song.

You mean cleaning up (hopefully) by producing 2 Joss Stone records? Probably quite well. wink
*(doh! wasn't supposed to mention Joss)

As for radio stations playing her old material, I would imagine Clarence Reid...uhm...Blowfly is quite pleased.

*OK. Now you can, Release the cracken!
