NorthernLad, if you don't mind me asking, where did you get this and how much did it cost??

I haven't seen the brick anywhere in Cardiff; just the individual remasters. I've started buying them so I probably won't get the box-set now. I just want to make myself feel bad. lol

LOVIN' the 'Fear Of Music', 'Remain In Light' and 'Speaking In Tongues' remasters. drool

This band never ceases to amaze me. worship

(I wonder why they didn't include 'Popsicle' on 'Speaking In Tongues', though. confuse).

I've been having the same problem.. i can't rip them to mp3 so i can play on the ipod.

What i did is burn them using my stereo component CD-burner - my dual disc burner - and ripped them from the copies. a pain, and a waste of blank CDs, but at least i was able to put them on the ipod.

I got the brick at a Sam Goody's - it was $149.99.

I got lucky though - my local Sam Goody's is going out of business, everything was 40% off!! So I got it for under $100.00

it's put out by Rhino, and can be purchased via their website

yeah, that sounds like a solution. i don't know that i have the energy for all that mess, though...i have a bunch of heads stuff on my mp3 player already, i guess i'll just save some of them for stereo-only listening. shrug

I'm not sure, but I wouldn't be surprised.... they are outrageously expensive normally.

Yeah I already had all the regular stuff, but I wanted the bonus tracks... so i figured what the hell.

The best way to listen if from the actual DVD on the surround sound, though... wowie! It sound fantanstic.

I was standing in the middle of my living room listening to "Nothing but Flowers" on the 5.1 last night and I was just blown away... the bassline just pounds right through ya.

oddly, when i listen to 'remain in light' and 'fear of music' from the brick, i play them on my DVD player. part of it is the sound, part of it is i love the illustrations that go with each track.

my only gripe with the brick is that they were a little stingy with the video content. i was expecting a little more content than we got, though i will admit it was worth it for the performances on that german music tv show...though whoever filmed that clearly had a love affair with the female background singer (and a hate affair with tina...you barely saw her!).

I had been eyeing it for about 2 weeks.... my Sam Goody has had everything 30% off, and they had ONE copy of the box. I was afraid it was going to sell, but i wanted to wait until they reduced it some more. Finally i saw it at 40% off and I jumped on it... My luck, if i had waited, it would have been 50% or 60% off eventually, but i didn't want it to sell to someone.

The store is even selling their fixtures! I was tempted to buy one of their big CD bins, hehe.
