Brand New Heavies - "Never Stop"

Damn, I haven't heard this song since I was a lil' youngin'. I didn't realize how funky it was until seeing the video again for the first time in years a few minutes ago.

Another reason why I enjoyed growing up in the 90s. biggrin

Who remembers this jam?

Ooo ooo I loved this song when I was a wee one. I used to beg my parents to play that tape when we went shopping on Saturdays. They were my FAVORITE band when I was a 11 and up though High School. I loved the synth strings on this song. Stay This Way used to be my favorite song of all time.
Thank You San Alejo for getting rid of my enemies. :-0

At the height of New Jack Swing, they definitely brought back the soul. And they continued to bring it with every follow-up album. Heavy Rhyme Experience? Brother Sister? Nobody was fucking with the Brand New Heavies.
They never got tagged as "Neo-soul" it was just plain good music.

Damn you, Kedar Massenberg mad That whole "boho" schtick was your fault.

Brand New Heavies is the absolute shit.
Their latest album "Allaboutthefunk" sucked though much because they changed singer, but their is a rumor that the singer from the first albums N'Dea Davenport is getting back with the band. That would be awesome.

Brother Sister is a great summer album to go cruising around with, with the sunroof open or the top down.

Have you heard their Remixes Rarities & Excursions CD? It's pretty good too. Its out of print but you can get used copies of it on Amazon pretty cheap.
