I'm sure there's been threads stating this but I'm really diggin' this band. Funny is I use to really dilike them. They are, I think, an aquired taste. They require repeated listenings to kinda take it all in. That's a good thing. Sometimes things I like right away don't hold up after repeated listenings. Anyway, The Lips new CD has the closest they've ever came to doing funk on a few tracks. And it works.
I know there's a few Lips fans out there.

i like the lips. sometimes their music can grate on my nerves, but sometimes i think it's really lovely.

i accidentally stumbled across them once on the way to work - they were broadcasting a mini-concert for one of the chicago morning shows, and i walked right into it as i was trudging to work...so i stayed a while and watched them do their songs, then went on to the office. it was weird.

I like them when I'm in a Lippy mood.

I'll agree on that. You gotta be in a certain frame of mind to dig it. Not exactly "club" music. But that's one of the reasons why I like it.
