She's got a great voice. I especially love the 2 songs she wrote for Stephanie Mills, "I've learned to repect the Power of Love and "Something in the way you make me feel".

Wow, I didn't know she wrote those songs. I could see her singing Something in TWYMMF. She does have a good voice. I love her song Angel.

Thanks for posting these. Angela has a beautiful voice and I often thought that in her career she did not get the respect that she deserved since splitting with Rene. .

SLAMMIN SNAPS LADYLANA !!!!! Luv em' I remember her appearing at an un-announced concert of the ISLEY BROTHERS . This happened at a European Festival in 1994 , and all the US-visitors went beserk when they suddenly heard about the coming concert that day . At the front of the stage it was crowded with almost only Americans , LOL . It was great because the atmosphere went way up high among them , when the show started . This was one of the first shows i saw , where the band did hit it off while the curtains still were closed .... Now that's what i'm talking about . Git that adrenaline pumpin' ! While the curtains openened , i saw an impressive set-up of a complete band . A sort of reverend-looking mc showed up stage and announced with much class the 3 brothers . Wow , this was only the beginning , and i was already in completely awe . It made so much impact on me , that a few moments later i suddenly noticed Angela among the background vocalists . My jaws dropped . I had followed her work since she started the collaboration with RENE MOORE . Later in the show , RONALD ISLEY introduced her to the front for a solo . She sang a remake of MARVIN's " INNERCITY BLUES " which appeared on the album she had just released in 1994 . Another surprise was that newjackswing-keyboardist CHUCKII BOOKER played also with the band . I had followed his work too from scratch . How much better could it get ? It got even better . The band started to play " VOYAGE TO ATLANTIS " . That track starts with a guitar-solo from ERNIE ISLEY , and the particular intro of the song got all the Americans in the audience go wild . This was quite something to experience . But when a camera-man onstage started to stay in front of ERNIE during his guitar-solo , the US-fans went even louder by boo-ing the camera-man away . It was clearly a "faux-pas"... never-ever had i heard so much curses and trash shouting to a stage Still one of my most played tracks by ANGELA is the quitestormer-duet with RENE MOORE : " YOU DON'T HAVE TO CRY " .... great intro , slick musicianship and smooth vocals ... pure class 2005 & 24 years back ..... . . . Check more of them on the following thread posted by Org-member Harlepolis : http://www.prince.org/msg/8/83597 Actually , my "vintage" album-photo from 1982 is one of my fave Winbush-projects . One track on there , "Secret Rendezvous" has an infectious rhythm . It was used not so long ago in a mix-cd from one of the recent popular dj-producers . The track is also released on a few of their "Best Of" cd's .... ..... worth to check . The left-cd is from the photo-shoot of their 1983-album "Rise" The other one is from the "Streetcar ... "-era _____ The video : http://urbansoulnation.co...avideo.htm . . . [Edited 2/25/06 9:24am]

AWYEAH ! another gem from that album The intro of the song is something ... a solid bassline , followed by the powerful and harmonized sung title of the song .... fantastic classic . A Street Called Desire has been re-issued on cd in great sound-quality . This has been done by a major company ( Mercury ) , and i really could notice and hear that they got it from the mastertapes . I think the cd can be obtained at various selling-sites . . . . [Edited 2/25/06 9:40am]
