Wasn't it meant to be, at least partly, ironic? As in the context of all the material he wrote after breaking up with some of the women he had been dating during that period (mainly PJ Harvey I assume)? everything he writes has some irony in it, but i can't believe he wrote that song with mean-spirited intention. | |
