who watches american idol i watch it every now and then when i,m not listening 2 prince or morris day

I gave up toward the beginning of last year, but I'm watching again. Decent cop of female vocalists. Nobody in the male category really stands out for me. I kinda get the urge to kick that Ray Charles imitatin' dude in the booty.

I watch it quite regularly because both of my neices love it and they want me to watch it so we can talk about it each week. I don't take it very seriously, but they do and they love it. We also watch Canadian Idol too because we're Canadians

A couple of the guys have ok voices, they just don't know how to use their voice yet.

The women are better singers, but some of them have to stop yelling and just sing. Some go way overboard and over do it and that's a turn off.

Right now it's hard to tell who has the edge, but that will become apparent in the next few weeks.

this crop seems weaker than season 3, but stronger than season 4.
3 guys and 3 girls have outstanding voices--the rest--average
i'm taping the whole season to dvd, because i missed recording some really great performances over the years --fantasia the first time she sang summertime, latoya, fantasia and jennifer singing " i made it through the rain"

as for the ladies, I'm really liking Paris and Mandisa...

Or maybe not since I adored Simon. Simon is one fine-looking white British guy. He maybe brutally honest, yet he is right on the money about most of those other average or horrible singers. I can't believe that Simon and I have so much in common after I researched more information about him, and hes very interesting. Let's just say if werent for Simon then I would definately not be watching the show.

no fantastic female performers in my opinion (although there have been some great performances....when Paris did Gladys Knight or Catherines performance last week was really good)


as for the male performers i LOVE the "Ray Charles imitatin' dude" (i don't agree with the statement...don't believe he is imitating anyone...thats him...with a little Rainman thrown in....)

Taylor Hicks...original, talented and can play the harmonica like nobodys business

As we all know, the word 'talented" has many meanings....talented as an artist (accomplished) and talented as an entertainer....just depends upon what you are after. Taylor Hicks is fun to watch, pleasant to look at, sounds good, and makes it look fun.....so there you go. I'm for the bald guy, though (forgot his name!). I missed last night - Comcast crapped out on me (again!).

Now I got it....Chris Daughtry is my pick.....and Mandesa for the females....

It should be taken off the air and all of its watchers should be shot.

I would not be surprised if a man wins this. They are bringing it more that the girls are. If I had to choose for Men, my favorite is Chris Daughtry and for females its Mandisa. I like a lot of them so it would be tough.
