LONDON // Two concert-hall ushers were shot during a Kanye West show, police said Wednesday.

West Midlands Police said the men were wounded at the National Exhibition Center, near Birmingham in central England, on Tuesday as several people were being ejected from the venue for trying to get in without tickets.

"Firearms were discharged and two stewards were taken to hospital with gunshot wounds," police said in a statement. "Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening," police said in a statement.

The concert was the last stop in Britain on West's "Touch the Sky" tour. The 27-year-old rapper was scheduled to perform Thursday in Milan, Italy.

Of course it's not just the U.S.

It can happen any place where the "thug mentality" lives. Some people think they can do whatever they want at anytime because they have guns. These thugs didn't even have tickets. Who the hell to they think they are? They should've been taken out back and had the shit kicked out of them before they were taken into custody!

And look what happened when they did just last summer. They shoot dead an innocent man at Stockwell tube station point blank and make up some story about him acting suspiciously just because he looked "foreign", which turned out to be totally false.

I've looked at several reports about this and they all say the same thing. I'm guessing London is from where the original news report came.

Birmingham makes it all the more bizarre.

Not bizarre really, Birmingham is England's second city near enough. Nottingham also has high rate of gun crime and isn't as large.

Birmingham is where I live. I was in London at the studio when this happened...but even if I was in Birmingham, I probably wouldn't have been at Kanye's gig though.

Birmingham is a small place, and it's controlled by two Jamaican gangs, both of which I know influential members of... If it was a gang related shooting, which it most likely was, I could probably find out who it was and why it happened...but I can't be bothered and it's none of my concern anyway.

Birmingham is also slap bang in the middle of England, and London is the South East. We may be a small country but to us they're nowhere near eachother.

Wasn't Jamelia's step-brother one of the guys that killed those 2 girls on New Years Eve in Birmingham a couple of years ago?

Damn, the U.K. is just like the U.S. neutral

Kanye West seems to me to be such a peacenik (relatively) that I would be shocked if gunfire even broke out at an American show.

Lol.

I'm near Birmingham, and was at a concert at the NEC Arena (where the shooting took place) the evening after. Scary stuff. And no, our police do not carry guns. Bad choice!

You know that creep me out almost as much as the bombings on 7/7(The bus bomb happened right outside where I use to work, BMA House) so what happened really effected me. But what the police did to that poor man and then they tired to tarnish his name was unforgivable. mad It was bad enough that the police shot an innocent man 8 times or so. But it was made even worse with the lies upon lies they told to justify why they shoot him. sad I can understand now why innocent people end up in the dock...

if the british police can shoot (and kill) somebody for carrying a table leg in a bag while walking down a street, and get away with it, then nobody is safe here.

and on the other side, dont 'dis' those types.
