I always wonder about those who go to sites or even functions to decry someone. Like people who go out and actively spread hate...not saying that Irish Echoe or others are spreading hate, but IEchoe and Swinger obviously do not like Prince and have not for years. There are several artists that I cant stand for certain reasons, but I will not go to a site dedicated to that atists just to slam them every chance I get..I wonder what it is that pushes the person to go to a site actively everyday to spout negative statements without ever considering the big picture...why even go if the artist brings such displeasure anyways? In my mind they seem like they have the potential to be dangerous...like one step away from taking their anger out in real world-life situations. For example it could turn into something like the difference in those who oppose abortion and vote on their views vs. those who oppose it so much that they go out and blow up buildings or commit murder.

...Oh come on! Did he actually hurt you? Why am I supposed to be disturbed by his comments? ... As with many other wankers around, I simply ignore him. Actually, is no worth to spend my time writing about this.

Did I say he/she hurt me? I posed a thought about people who actively dislike someone yet stay around the element of that artists..which makes no sense because a questionb was raised. Nobody is supposed to be disturbed but evidently a response disturbed you...go figure.

Get a grip, Chachi. Ragging on Prince and all you fanatical buttkissers is a LONG way from blowing up an abortion clinic. And who are you to gauge how I feel about Prince? I like his old stuff more than his new stuff. Pretty simple to digest. And who is to say I can't make that known here?

As I'm not a recording artist, I don't really see the relevance of this thread. If you're all about positivity as you claim, why would you start a thread specifically for attacking someone else? Something I've never done nor would do.

I didnt equate raggin on Prince to blowing up abortion clinics..I used that as an anology to "those" who are seemingly obsessed with their own personal viewpoints and or vendaettas which some people here can be accused of..do I think that if given the chance that you would do some harm to said artist if possible?..quite frankly its leaning towards the "extreme possibility" box, due to the fact of your seemingly obsessiveness on only seeing the bad points of an artist who is over 40 and still wears makeup etc goes on and on lol. You NEVER admit to anything that you like about said artist until something like this came up...so dont think you are slick. And btw Im far from a buttkisser of prince and his sometimes shoddy ways...you may be in real time more fair and impartial to him, but the way you come across here is one that is Mark Chapman-like so dont try and be all indignant when you get called on the floor about it...whether you think so or not...Joanni.

Get your facts straight..I didnt start this thread, and who is all about positivity?--thats just b.s whomever thinks that of themselves anyways. And just because you dont "create" a thread doesnrt mean that you dont atack someone..ms.mr agressive trying to play it off by trying to excuse your attacking behavior by not making a specidfic announcement of it. See, you moved from "extreme possibility" of doing harm to "get this crazy mutherfucka outta here" box. And if this half of your statements was not meant for me than dont quote them in response to me Joanni.

I do admit that its not fair or maybe wrong to make a post about someone in a nasty way etc...regardless of ones views., because our own personal views however we may think they are fair etc may be seen by others as offensive.

No more offensive to you & your ilk than some of the ridiculously obsessive nonsense seen here daily may be to me. Is it really so important to even bother with such a debate when it's readily resolved with the simple observation that people are DIFFERENT?

I really don't think there's anything wrong with discussing a poster who is condescending as hell and calls people Chachi or Potsie and has nothing good to say about Prince or his fans... On the other hand, it's good to have dissent, and IrishEcho is articulate and hardly has the worst attitude I've ever seen on a Prince site or ng...

Calling someone Chachi is making it very personal as far as I'm concerned. Even if the person does not spend his whole post attacking you, the fact he compares you to a Happy Days character is contemptuous, and I hate contempt and condescension with a passion. I don't see why a person who chooses to address others that way should just breeze through the site unchallenged. He's responsible for the kind of answers he gets, and most likely, it's exactly what he wants, whether he knows it or not.

it appears the challenge to IrishEcho has been quite unsuccessful, as his detractors have failed to make any valid argument against his behavior. being a Prince fan does not require one to love all of his music, and any person who gets tagged with a Scott Baio, or however the hell it is spelled, obviously deserves it. those kind of things don't just get thrown out spuriously.

long live the outspoken mick!

Irishecho is here because he has people like me who r here that share his sentiments.

He's just a white guy with feelings like any other human. he's just brutally honest, and if he offends a few uptight blacks in the process then so b it. I dont know about u, but I'd rather hear someone b honest with me, than kiss my ass and have Jesse Jackson over 4 dinner. Lord knows we have enough Al Gores. barf

He uses logic, logic isn't something u c very much around here.

Wake up, u know y he's here. He's here 2 challenge ur mind as 2 what the difference really is between someone like Lincoln and someone like Malcolm X. Thus u have the avatar 2 remind u!
