This does prove that maybe older folks have worse taste in music then the kids. Inflicting the world with Bocelli and Barry Manilow. For shame.

Are you referring to the quality of music or the sales numbers? I assumed numbers, because those are bad numbers! The number one album...just over 100,000 copies?

Isn't the Mary J album supposed to be good? I've only heard the single.

If you like Mary J., it's a very good album. If not, you're likely to still not care for it. It's her best in a while.

I have to admit, Jack Johnson is kinda sexy.
But other than that i have no clue why people like him so much. Same goes for James Blunt.

My friend Steve was asking me like what's up with Jack Johnson's popularity?

I know my cousin really likes him and Dave Matthews Band, so I think it's really all about the sensual acoustic guitar dude aspect.

That's just pitiful. I honestly think that we aren't hearing a lot of the great stuff that is out there anymore because record companies would much rather push safe albums for kids (and the ones by and for older adults are selling too). "High School Musical"...Rock and roll is dead!

Where do we begin.... You realize that album was a bomb because it was the most expensive ever (allegedly). I don't think that the "High School Musical" soundtrack really had any sales expectations...hell, I bet Disney is more surprised than we are. Or, prehaps, they bought a lot of copies and shot it up there just to make the news...I remember walking into Media Play right before they closed and there were litterally thousands of copies of some Winne the Pooh Halloween disc...and at that point they were probably like 10 cents if not less!
