Magnum P.I. Theme Song Appreciation Thread

So I found an mp3 of the theme song from the TV show, "Magnum P.I." and I burned it on a Mix CD. I was listening to it, driving to school today and it got me really pumped up. I love that song. Does anyone else dig this theme song? Or am I just hard up for things to appreciate in an appreciation thread..? razz

Very cool theme song and very cool show too. I met Tom Selleck in Hawaii back in the 80's. He was very gracious and damn fine looking too - and still is at 60!

In the episode "The Susie", of the popular sitcom Seinfeld, George Costanza memorably sets his answering machine message to the tune of "Believe It or Not". The theme by Joey Scarbury

"Believe it or not George isn't at home, please leave a message at the beep. I must be out or I'd pick up the phone. Where could I be? Believe it or not I'm not home." lol

Click below to hear George's answering machine for yourself. Gotta love George! lol

That is so cool that you met Tom Selleck. I'm a late bloomer fan of the show, but I have the first 3 seasons on DVD. I loooove it.

That's one of my all-time favorite episodes. Thanks for the link!

(I loved The Greatest American Hero. In my youth, I had a thing for white guys with 'fros.)

Magnum was a great show. I met Tom in a retail store in Honolulu back in 1983. The sales girls introduce me and my cousin to him. We gushed like teen-agers (we were teenagers lol ). He spoke to us for a few minutes and asked us how we were enjoying the islands etc. He was very nice to us. He gave us a brief hug and left the store and got into a limo. I've always liked him and I still follow his career. He's a class act!
