Yeah, I saw it last night. I learned a WHOLE lot about P-Funk and GC last night. Good shit. I have a new found respect for the man. I mean, try to imagine Hip Hop if P-Funk/GC never existed? Deep shit, huh?

Man I keep missing it! I don't think it's showing in my area. It's not on the schedule for my local PBS station. Damn.
But a friend of mine has it on tape so I'm gonna have to borrow his I guess.

Don't feel to bad. I was looking for it for the last 7 months and I found it by accident the other night. -Mg

same here. I've known about this show for quite awhile but the schedule never lists it or gives it the wrong time. I've tried to catch it a few times with no luck. I wish PBS would make the show available for purchase but as of now it isn't. Like I said I'll have to borrow my friends copy so all is not lost.
cool

I've had most of everything that's been available, now I'm collecting all the remastered stuff like all the westbound Funkadelic. Just got Maggot Brain, next is Free Your Mind.

Well they only got 2 official DVDs out.
One is Live at Montreaux 2004 which sound wise and picture wise is really good. But it's not classic P-funk and there is alot of newer younger members. It's more jazz and r'n'b P-funk than jam/rock P-funk. I like it and it does have Bernie, Billy Bass, Michael Hampton, Belita, Blackbyrd and some others. Hardcore fans don't care for it but I'll take any P-funk I can get. Period.
The other is The Mothership Connection and the audio and video isn't the greatest but the show is. It's from Houston 1976 or 1977. It's as classic of a line-up and show your gonna get. Shows you what P-funk was like in their heyday. Great show great mixture of everything P-funk is. This is not to be missed. If your diggin' on 70's P-funk go get this. You will be glued to your TV.
There are other shows I've seen on Ebay but they're not "official" and I haven't seen them so I don't know the quality of those.
Ever Fonkin' on.
cool

You are welcome. Funk is for sharing.
The DVD is only like 83 minutes. Obviously edited. But like I said earlier, I'll take what I can get when it comes to P-funk. No extras either.

That's cool. Funny title.
I write as well. You should post links to some of your tunes. People do it all the time around here. Or do the Myspace.com thing. I've started one but haven't finished it.
