The final season of "The Brady Bunch" will be released on DVD next week,so my question to you is...

What's your favorite Brady kids song? lol

To those of you who watched this show, you will recall that,on several episodes, the kids were singing songs, entering various talent contests, reaching for pop superstardom (lol).Who remembers songs like "Time To Change","It's A Sunshine Day (Everybody's Smiling)","Keep On" and "Good Time Music" (from the infamous "Johnny Bravos" episode)? There were even more songs on their animated series "The Brady Kids"...surprisingly good songs like "Ain't It Crazy","Gonna Find A Rainbow","We'll Always Be Friends" and many others.Hey,what can I say? I was a 70s child,I grew up on this stuff lol

anyway,here's my favorite song boxed

"We Can Make The World A Whole Lot Brighter" (1972)

(written by Robert John and Michael Gately)

Birds flying high
in search of a clear blue sky
as they're chopping down the trees below them
Come take a stand
and help us save the land
let's go out and try to make things better

(chorus)
and maybe we can make the world a whole lot brighter
we can make the load a little lighter
Everybody has to try together
don't you know it's now or never

Meadows once green are few and far between
and the rivers might run brown tomorrow
God made the land for each and every man
so we must do all we can to save it

(chorus)
and maybe we can make the world a whole lot brighter
we can make the load a little lighter
Everybody has to try together
don't you know it's now or never

We can make the world a whole lot brigher
we can make the load a little lighter
Everybody has to try together
don't you know it's now or never

Man....who knew that that song was an environmental song? I liked "Time To Change" but only because Peter Brady stole the show.

I love The Brady Bunch, but once those little brats thought they needed to sing their way through the show...barf It's amazing that the show is popular, because it never did all that well when it was originally broadcast; it was never renewed for more than 13 episodes at a time.

Yeah, the "Brady Bunch" was never really a big ratings hit.In fact,it got clobbered in the ratings by "Sanford and Son" when it originally aired.I think it became more popular in syndication, they've been showing re-runs forever.

I swear something weird is in the air lately because I WAS GOING TO START A BRADY BUNCH THREAD TOO!!!! falloff

and then I always change my mind about starting threads because I can't handle the ridicule when they fail. lol

"Sunshine Day" is always my favorite, but "Keep On" is a close 2nd. I know the whole dance of course. nod

Good thing I never started that Eddie Money thread way back. lol On topic, Keep On is okay, but still not good enough to make me actively listen to it.

falloff I remember that idea.

Well, it's not like I "actively" listen to the Brady Bunch's songs either, but I started thinking that we've pretty much discussed everyone in this forum, so what are we left with? The Brady Bunch. cool

I guess this would be a perfect place to ask this question...

The Bradys supposedly lived in a 2-story house, but whenever we saw the front of their house,it doesn't look like a 2-story house to me.Am I the only one who thinks this looks like a one-level home? confuse

It was a one-level home, and they actually hung a fake window on the outside. lol That house was my dream house when I was a kid. I so wanted to run away and budge my way into that family.

Oh we think you're crazy all right, but I guess I'm guilty of that as well because I thought of it too. lol

And no one ever said I was mentally stable, that's for sure. boxed

I really liked It's A Sunshine Day but one of my favorites was by that guy Danny, the pop star that came to visit and had Marcia all hot and bothered.

Gurl, look what you've done to me...

It was. nod

I always loved his accent.

Maybe this explains my fixation with British musicians. hmm It all comes down to Brady Bunch. Although I was never a Monkees fan. lol

"Time To Change" is my favorite, but I like "Merry-Go-Round" and "Cheyenne," too.

Plus, I've always had a girl crush on Maureen McCormick.

Who do you think would win a cage match - The Brady Kids or The Partridge Family?

I bet Alice could kick Reuben's ass any day of the week.

mine is definately Sunshine Day. It is wonderful to see so many Brady Bunch fans here. I was born in 1970, so I don't really remember seeing them in their regular run, but I always watched the syndicated ones on TBS every day when I got home from school. Everytime I watch it, this nostalgic feeling just floods through me even though I've seen the show hundreds of times it never ceases. I love the fact that The Brady Bunch never changed any of the shows background music(not only the opening/closing theme) but the music that goes on during the show.

I have all of the seasons and can't wait for March 7th to grab the final season. I only have a vague recollection of the other Brady shows(the cartoon, the variety shows, the reunion shows) so hopefully I can start buying most of them on DVD as well!

I'm gonna buy the final season when it is released on Tuesday.I already have the other four seasons.I wonder if they will ever release "The Brady Kids" cartoon on DVD? I remember watching that show, and at the end of every episode, there would be a video of the kids performing a song. They perfomed songs that you never heard on the regular sitcom...."Ain't It Crazy","Gonna Find A Rainbow","I Believe In You",etc. These are surprisingly good songs that probably would have been massive hits if recorded by the "real" musical artists of the day.
