movie's good though...actually i think it's one of her better acting performances, she wasn't "trying" so hard and didn't seem stiff or awkward

Agreed. She seems at ease and looks like she's really having fun with this role/character.In many of her other films, this isn't the case.

I loved it when it came out and didn't see if 4 year after that. A few years ago, I watched it again and cringed the whole time. It's funnier quoted than watched.

I will always love this song. So many memories. Just felt like shining a spotlight on it.

Madonna :: Who's That Girl (1987)

Who's that girl, who's that girl

When you see her, say a pray and kiss your heart goodbye
She's trouble, in a word get closer to the fire
Run faster, her laughter burns you up inside
You're spinning round and round
You can't get up, you try but you can't

[Chorus:]

Quien es esa niña, who's that girl
Senorita, mas fina, who's that girl
Quien es esa niña, who's that girl
Senorita, mas fina, who's that girl

You try to avoid her, fate is in your hands
She's biggrin-ing, an invitation to the dance
Her heart is on the street, tu corazon es suyo
Now you're falling at her feet
You try to get away but you can't

[chorus]

[Intermediate:]
starLight up my life, so blind I can't see
Light up my life, no one can help me now star

Run faster, her lol-er burns you up inside
He's spinning round and round
You can't get up, you try but you can't

[chorus]

starLight up my life, so blind I can't see
Light up my life, no one can help me now star

Who's that girl
Now, who's that girl
Now, who's that girl
Now, who's that girl

[chorus]

niña and not nina, the pronuntiation is a kind of ninya reading
smile like the son also

What's funny is that I bought it, worked that night and rented some videos just before the store closed but decided to watch "Who's That Girl" instead. I figured if anyone had it, it would be Best Buy and they had two copies! BTW, the movie cost $9.99 there and was well worth it.

I was kinda miffed that "Who's that Girl?" and "Causing a Commotion" didn't make it onto The Immaculate Collection. But they're on a British single called The Holiday Collection. I picked it up in London a few years ago. Well, it made me happy. bananadance

I love the "Holiday Collection" because the cover art is great along with the acompinging photos. It's also very easy to find (I think I remember at one time Media Play had it on sale at their site). The best thing about the "Holiday Collection" is the fact that "Causin A Commotion" is slighty different from the original...the new verison is better, more poppy. It's a very subtle change in the keyboards.
