Plese dont delete this MJ thread But I am watchin the Michael Jackson Unauthorized boigraphy.
And it is very very..weird. I love me sum mike...i got every single Jackson 5 album most Jacksons albums and all his records...but this interview is kinda scary. And shows that he was much more childlike around the Thriller era. From the interviews that he has had since the Dangerous era, I feel that he has grown up out of that stage alot. \ The interview..I never knew this exsisted...it is strinking. He sings and dreams and is very kind, but I just notice something is wrong...like he doesnt know who the hell he is. But who does when their what 23 he was? He is really caught off guard and the camera just stays on him no editing...just a straight film of talk. When was this made? I just dont know what to say... find it: (youtube) Even Latoya comes in... [Edited 2/26/06 23:55pm] Straight Jacket Funk Affair

I've seen this interview also and it's funny. He's very relaxed during the filming.
Singing for no reason. Michael saying "magic" so many times I lost count. When they sing "Never can say goodbye" at the end, and LaToya forgets the words. Latoya: Michael, are you wet? Michael: Of course, honey!...Ahem *coughs*

I think that interview is just as ‘freaky’ as any of his recent interviews, he talks about kids the exact same way in that interview as he did in the recent ones
I personally don’t find this interview freaky but many people think his interviews these days are, and they like to think back to the ‘good old days’ in the 80’s when he was ‘normal’, where I think this interview proves he’s always been the way he is now.

Ah, the whimsical Michael interview. When he was singing "I'm Peter Pan" etc. it was a private thing, the sound quality is terrible in places (especially when he's near the fountain)
i found it interesting, genuine and poignant to watch, his childishness definately is revealed here. I think the level of his fame back literally blew his mind. But he was having a good time with it. made in '84 i believe.

That's the conclusion I came to when I saw it. -- It's funny and cute, especially when he sung I'm Peter Pan and he was talking about his damn llamas lol. I love that interview!

Oh i got that interview cheap at cash converters (the home/graveyrad for old deleted vhs's)
Yeah, it does show mike as mike. A guy completely fucked up to be living in the normal world. [Edited 3/7/06 17:42pm]

it was made in 1984 agreed. I think if you watch anything on Michael backstage, you´ll get the same impression. Home Movies or any behind the scenes documentaries. You can truly see the child in him and the love he has for his work and life in general. He can truly enjoy the simplest things, which I guess makes him weird, because who in this world gets excited over a sunset the way he does. There were moments when he was relaxed, but I think you can still feel that interviews are not his favourite thing to do. That´s why he brought La Toya in - to avoid being interviewed himself. "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."
