She's the ONLY person along with Billie Holiday whom I've never seen being interviewed in TV(altho I'm sure most of ya'll have seen Sade talking in national TV).

I agree. No one ever says, "I wanna interview Sade" no mo'. Plus she hasnt made a record since what 2000?

I've been a fan for years and I don't even know what her speaking voice sounds like or what she even thinks on things.

Only interview I peeped on her was an old JET in 1985 or so? Where she talked about coming of age in the UK and kids picking at her because of her black background. Even then, the writer was paraphrasing heavily.

She's THE MOST reclusive recording star of all time. I think it perfectly adds to her mystique and style as a performer. She could be the biggest c*nt or the sweetest angel and we'll never know her through anything but her singing.

There is an interview on a DVD made by the UNHCR to help Dafur. It came out in september 2005. You can read a transcript of the interview on Sade's website under "news". She also recorded a new song for the DVD.

She did something on BET a few years ago. I forget what it was called. I remember seeing a Promo for it and she had her right hand up and said something like "My name is Helen Folasade Adu and I want to tell my story" or something like that. I always thought she was one of the most beautiful woman ever. She has the looks and a serene demeanor about herself

The only thing I remeber about Sade regarding her interviews is her infamous 1990/91 Ebony cover interview where they talked about her suicide attempts and her going cold turkey off-drugs.

But I don't want to know about her PRESS interviews.

I know she did the video soul with sherry carter, she was on VH1 waaaay back in the day. She was talking about how she smokes too much and would never EVER leave the house w/o make up.. The Testimony interview on BET she was talking about her little incident with her daughter Ila and a cabbie in Jamaica.

As far as what she sounds like..If you close your eyes and listen to Sophie Okonedo (Hotel Rwanda), she IMHO sounds like Sade's speaking voice.
