more rumors from a "reliable source"...

***"Like A Virgin" is definitely in.She did not want to do it but I hear that Stuart has a big sway with her.She said no when it was suggested, but he went away and worked on a remix and she loved it.A big disco number.

***"Nothing Really Matters" is in and it is in a BIG BIG disco fashion.

Hurrah for LAV. She won't regret it with the crowd reception she'll get.
And finally with Nothing Really Matters.

I'm also hearing from my source that Rescue Me is in. And that is exciting to me.
And apparently there's a reworked Justify my Love. And THAT better be true.

"Like A Virgin" is a wise choice.I remember she performed it at that 2003 Tower Records appearance, and the crowd went crazy. She could have alot of fun with that song...maybe come up with a silly, ironic version ala "The Girlie Show" lol

"Rescue Me" is a weak choice.I never liked that song neutral

***On another point,it still has not been decided if "Jump" or "Get Together" will be the next single.Warners wants "Jump" while Maddy wants "Get Together".However,"Get Together" will be the second song in the show.

Not this again. Remember the fight they got in over Amazing vs Impressive Instant.

I say Jump be the 3rd single. It seems to have the most potential of the 2, though i'm all for having Get Together as the 4th.
And i want a video for both.

The thing is,I'm enjoying this CD so much,I'd be happy with whatever they released (except "How High",lol).

"Nothing Really Matters" is supposedly in EVERY time since the song was released and has yet to see the light of day. It's one of her biggest bomb singles and least loved videos and least memorable/successful release from "Ray of Light"...not to mention that total letdown Grammy performance...somehow I don't think it'll ever really make it in.

"Rescue Me" now that would be hot. But somehow I doubt it. She's NEVER sung it live, not even when it was in the top 10 in 91.

ohhhhh, RIGHT!

you know though, I could totally swing a top tier seat if she ever did play MPLS again. It's just if I am flying to see her, you add in airfare and hotel and whatevs and there you go, I'm stuck in the nosebleeds...

so, I'll day dream for a minute that she'd actually return here this tour smile

And if ever she does a show here, I will be the first in line for tickets. No matter how much I like somebody, I just can't flip the switch in my head that would permit me to travel great distances to see them (great distance meaning more than two hours away lol).

I thought Liquid (in Miami) closed down ages ago. I remember Madonna's friend co-owning it with a guy who was eventually sent to prison for mob involvement and assault. The last time I was in Miami, Liquid was gone. Has it reopened?

Also, no San Francisco stop? That seems odd.

The no SF stop isn't all that odd when you conisder the Girlie Show all she did was NY Philly and Detorit.

That's a good point. I guess I'm just thinking in general terms of her touring history. Other than Girlie Show and Who's That Girl, I think she's always played somewhere nearby, be it Oakland or San Jose.

Dance and Sing Tour? I get that she's referencing her own song, but that sounds rather...generic.

"Should we call it the Concert Concert? No, no. Let's tell 'em what they're really gonna get! The Dance and Sing Tour."

how can someone confirm a setlist. It is just devoid of any spontenaity of emotion. confirm a set;ist that will be played every night. wouldnt want to hear that show 2 months down the line. it is artistically stale.

Hmmm...

I've seen Prince tours, Musicology comes to mind, where the majority (and sometimes all) of the set was the same. They were still great shows! I've seen U2 tours where the setlist was almost always identical and those shows were phenomenal! I've seen Broadway musicals that haven't changed...ever...and they were great!

Yeah, I guess i just don't see a problem with rehearsed shows. Even "spontaneous" shows are rehearsed over and over again in order to make the "spontanaity" look effortless.

I understand your point. I guess we hold different opinions in what we expect from a live show (i use this term loosely with regard to a madonna concert! meow!!). Prince live is different everytime. he may stick to a particular setlist but u can bet ya bottom dollar that he works them songs differently every night - breaking them down, ad-libbing, incoorporating other songs into them, improvising on whatever instrument he feels at the time. Even his interaction with the audience.

Im not saying a prince concert is better than a madonna concert. its all subjective. both serve there perpose. its just not my cup of tea. Enjoy it all who attend

I'll most likely never get to see Madonna, because she is so selective where she schedules dates for her shows. The closest she'll come to Pittsburgh is probably NYC or DC. Unlike many of her contemporaries, the handful of cities she chooses to play aren't within 3 hours of my house. In the past 4 or 5 years, the Rolling Stones, U2, Prince, Pearl Jam, and Bruce Springsteen have all graced my city at least once, most of them twice. I know for a fact that U2 sold out both shows, I'm almost positive that Bruce sold out, and that it was quite difficult to come by a ticket for the Stones or Pearl Jam.

I'm not sure why Madonna is any different than these other "name" acts. All of the aforementioned artists/bands have earned reputations for being consumate live performers (most of them even more-so than Madonna). Seemingly, these should be the artists who don't need to play every little corner of the country, yet they are the ones who swing through my neighborhood every time they release an album.

As large of a Madonna fan as I am, I wonder how many fewer sold-out shows she'd have had on her past excursions if she had come to more of America's larger cities. I find it a much greater accomplishment that U2 sold out Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Columbus, and Cincinati than Maddy selling out MSG, Los Angeles, and Washington DC.

Did you catch any of the Jam of the Year tours? Same setlist, same comments. Very scripted and rehearsed but still very fun. Its all relative. No worries...I'm looking forward to both artists' tours!

Madonna also doesn't spend as much time on the road as U2 or the Rolling Stones. So she's gonna hit the big cities and visit a few different countries and call it quits. She only tours for the summer.
I find it a great accomplishment Madonna is the only female artist at her age that can rake in the dough she does in such little time.
