MJ's re-release boxset set to flop in the UK. Okay, I know it's pre-mature... and you can't base everything on midweek sales, but if the FIRST single is struggling to make top twenty then imagine how it's going to be ten singles down the line.
I considered buying it. Not because I need it or even particularly want it but because I wanted to support MJ. It may look pretty on my shelf but I'm broke and simply have better things to spend my money on so I decided not to. Hopefully this will stop the greedy cash-cow who is milking MJs catalogue dry. And I'm not just talking about Sony. If MJ wants money then he should go out and earn it instead of getting his die-hards to line his pockets some more. I'm glad I don't own it. First there was Invincible released with five different covers. Then Number Ones came out with the same trick. Now this. It's sheer greed on MJ and Sony's part and the people who are buying it are mugs. You already own these videos and these songs... probably five times over... what are you getting excited about??? | |

I'd love 2 have the boxset..

Of course this re-release flops. But Michael has nothing to do with it. If there were old Prince-Singles to be released, they would flop also. I don't understand how SONY got this stupid idea? But I can tell you: If Michael had performed at the Brit Awards last week, then his single would have been gone straight to Number 1. | |

Seriously, probably beyond appproving the artwork, I wonder if Michael had anything to say about "Visionary." I am one of the few US fans who ordered a copy. (It was not released in the USA.) Why can't Sony/MJJ Productions just give the fans a "B-Sides" album already? Yeah, "The Ultimate Collection" is half way there, but not all the way. Maybe after the "Katrina" song gets done, it can happen. For now, I can only hope... | |

The song is at #18 on the charts in the U.K....it's only been out 2 days and it's 27 years old.
