I figured the whole album would have that kind of sound...It doesn't but a great title track! While "I Don't..." is eighties sounding, it's more Patti Labelle than Pet Shop Boys. Funky R&B. Think: Donna Summer's "I Feel Love" (the track that started it all), "Rumour Has It" or almost anything off of "Once Upon A Time..." Spark's "Beat The Clock" or "Tryouts For The Human Race". Munich Machine, The Sylvers, Speed Limit, etc. Basically think of Giorgio Moroder's dancier productions circa 1977-79. Excellent...all of the electronic tracks on "Once Upon A Time" are amazing. I like!

If you want to get into another cohesive computer disco set, check out Sparks' "No. 1 In Heaven" LP (1979). Killers tunes on there like the ones I mentioned along with the title track. Very cutting-edge disco/electro-synth album.

That song rocks, Slyvester was un appreciated, mostly as he was gay and unashamedly so. Sylvester opened a lot of doors for black gay and trans artists and now these have been closed. That song had a good beat and attitude. Even better is the do u wanna bunk with me from 81, complete on the Trading Places movie "get the FUCK out" that was some funny shit.
Why don't we hear gay soul or Rand B, u know, everytime someone accuses a black artist of being gay (he shies away and has all these girls and shit in there) and its seem as unmanly. We need our gay brothas to come out. Like P....! 17 Years ago I made a commitment to Prince
