and she's no M.I.A , but I really like her music. She only has 8 songs on her album? that's pretty short. "Random", "ch-ching", "A Little bit of Shhh ", and "the Battle" really stand out.....oh wait that's half of the album I liked them after the first few listens She's definitely more humorous than M.I.A....and her flow is a hell of a lot faster. That other woman who rapped on The Battle is good too.....wonder if she has a solo album out. I saw Lady SOV on the covers of two different music magazines last week and thought she must really be something. Even though I still like M.I.A better, I think Lady SOV will be more successful....especially with her association with Jay-Z (*shudder*) and comparisons to Eminem (*shudder*) too. The only thing she has in common with Eminem though....I mean other than the obvious, is that they're both humorous. Vocally she is pretty close to M.I.A.....if M.I.A was a teen.

Plus, I'm really into Stuart Price's work. There's a great album I just purchased a while ago called Darkdancer by Les Rythmes Digitales. It came out in '99, but it got a special 2005 double CD special edition release. And, man, it is up there among the best albums I've heard in years. Ahh, Shaq had a few jams. He had a song with DJ Quik back in 2000 that was kinda cool called "Playin' On The Westside" (or something to that effect). And I was sorta-kinda bobbin' my head to that stuff he did with the Fu-Schnikens ("What's Up Doc (Can We Rocc?)"). But then again we were also wearing Cross Colours back then, and that's played out now.
