80s R&B classic of the day: "Thanks To You" by Sinnamon (1982)

The beginning of this song is hilarious.A woman is fed up with her loser boyfriend,so she calls him on the phone with some interesting news...

The boyfriend: Hello?

The lady: Yeah,uh...it's me.Just calling to let you know that I won't be needing your "loving services" any longer.

The boyfriend: Oh really?

The lady: Yeah...just figured I'd clue you in on a few things

she then spends the rest of the song "thanking" him.Apparently, his awful behavior led her into the arms of another man that treats her right.Who remembers this jam?

this song reminds me of another song from the 80s.It had a similar theme, the woman was fed up with her man. It's uptempo and probably came out later in the 80s....around 83 or 84? It had the recurring lyric "Making love to you is just a waste of time".

anyone know what I'm talking about? Please help me identify this song!

I love this song. I searched for it forever on KaZaa. I never found it.
