Rick James, "Ghetto Life"

This song is the cut! cool , especially with that head-jerkin', booty-shakin' bassline. Who else loves this joint from "Street Songs"?

the bassline is okay but it was always that drum intro and breakdown that got me on this one...what u think about "hard to get"? i still can get that opening doubletime guitar/bass line....

I remember Rick being on "Soul Train" two or three times. One time was a tribute show dedicated to him for the entire hour and The Stone City Band performed two of their songs also. When it was time for the scramble board, how did I know the answer was going to be "Rick James"? The answer is always the artist that they are tributing. lol
