are there any Bowie fans here that like these pieces of work? i downloaded it on Itunes and i am listening to it now.

i think Bowie's voice is missing. i hear him in my head.

i never listen to 'classical' music, but this is quite good.

they're interesting...i don't listen to them much, but i thought it was a cool idea. i keep waiting for a lodger symphony, but that would just end up sounding silly.

I'll get it soon (maybe after I've bought 3121 and the Ultimate Prince); so far I have heard Warszawa from the "All Saints" collection... but Warszawa without the synth ... is missing something.

I enjoyed the orchestrated version of Sons Of The Silent Age a lot, indeed.

i read in this biography that the original pieces were constructed a special way, with a numerical system to pick the chord changes. it doesn't make much sense to me, but it's interesting.

some of the original music is so powerful and works really well in Christiane F.

Glass's work sounds like film music too.

I haven't heard them in maybe eight or seven years, but what I can remember is that back then I thought the Low symphony was quite rubbish and embarrassing and the Heroes symphony was the far better one. If I'd listen to them now I might have a different kind of opinion altogether as my tastes have obviously changed since.
