Glastonbury 2002

Anybody here from the UK (or elsewhere) go 2 Glastonbury this year? I went and had an AWESOME time!!! Although the line up was not great the atmosphere etc is second 2 none (Celebration aside of course). Although Coldplay really suprised me and where superb! Makes me feel better about not going 2 the celebration.

Didn't the Charlatans headline one of the nights this year? You must tell me all about it!!

Some friends and I went in 2000. (Long trek from Minneapolis!) Had a blast.

Below is the line-up for the 2 main stages. As u guys know it's not just about the music as I had a blast doing so many different things. There was a roller disco up near the green fields! People stacking all over the place... hilarious! The sun was shining everyday. The only rain came late Sunday evening when nobody cared anyhow.

Coldplay, Faithless and ASH were highlights for me on Friday. I did catch some of The Charlatans but had to run to see them from the Jazz stage where i'd been watching a new English band called Kosheen who were sublime!

Oh and the White Stripes kicked ass! Better get back to work... i'll post some pics soon!

WOW!

That's Quite the line-up!

A Roller disco sounds awesome. The best part of Glasto is how much time is spent just meandering and exploring as opposed to actually watching shows.

The weather sounds awesome, too. My first experience was a massive flood year, mud up to my knees, NASTY! But I still had a blast!

Keep the info coming, and THANKS!!!

The hard part always seems to be making it from one stage to another when you've got, like, 10 minutes to catch what you want to!

Thanks for the report!!

I forgot ALL about the locals giving us that Pear Cider...my that was a FUN but messy nite...the Chemical Brothers KICKED it that nite!

I can imagine that Coldpkay rocked it. I've been digging their cd and they seem like a perfect up-and-comer for the fri nite headline slot...

again, thanks for the info, I AM JEALOUS!!!
