Does anyone know if there is a good James Brown biography around? What about his own book that he released a while ago that I think I heard about. Is it any good?

Usually enjoy these type of books and his music and life seems very interesting. Looking for something quite detailed which doesn't gloss over the troubles he's had (arrests, the 80s etc).

Any thoughts?

This book does a good job covering JB, although it is a broader look at Soul music in general. It is an excellent book, however, and you will probably like it.
