Yeah, I was just gonna say. sad

According to this he's into little girls and is a woman-beater, but that's nowhere near as horrible or shocking as being bi.

True, all true. But, what's even more disturbing is that, apparently, R. knows his limits. As long as he's not raping and pissing on underage White girls, beating on a White wife, or cheating with White women, then... shrug

Yeah, I said it. And?

There's probably a lot of truth in this, but we'll never know because celebrities in general get better legal treatment than most other folk. I don't doubt that he would have been tried already had it been a white victim. I think the bigger truth is that the charges against him haven't held him back at all because his (alleged) victims were female. It's okay in our society and, in many ways, expected that women be sexualized even at a very young age. They don't make all those "barely legal" sites for no reason.

Be it spoken or implied, there's always this notion that the woman was aking for it or that she was a willing participant. But if a man or boy was the victim - different story. Men are "stronger" and more "determined." If they were victimized, well, by golly, of course they were completely innocent.

R deserves to be dragged through the mud just as much as MJ was.

But R.'s victim was female, and MJ's alledged ones were male. So there it is. sad

Personally I always thought Michael was innocent of everything. However, for one reason or another I always thought R. Kelly was guilty. I won't judge the man though because I imagine he will be the next celebrity "case." Court TV and all those news networks will LOOOOOVE the R. Kelly trial.

Sarcasm is hard to note when put in written form. However, on some long shot chance you were serious there is a good reason I never try to get into that here. The fact is because I am a huge Michael fan, people attack me and say me being a fan is the reason I'm defending him. However, I personally wouldn't care if it was Michael Jackson or the guy next door, there isn't enough evidence in my mind to convict someone. However in R's case, they have a tape. That is enough in my book.

Why does the african american public keep supporting this fool when he is taking advantage of their youth. Where's the outcry!![/quote]

"The tape" was deemed inadmissible as evidence, because it was seized illegally.

Right it's a damn shame that out of a list of illegal activities, a bit of consenting man on man action is the story here. Speaks volumes about the homophobic, macho world that is hip-hop/R&B.

No actually it speaks volumes about American culture as a whole. That homophobic macho shit ain't limited to hip-hop/R&B.

Is it not true that hip--hop/R&B community is generally homophobic? Whereas you could argue Disco music wasn't. R. Kelly is of the hip-hop/R&B community so the point stands and the sensational "Bisexual" as headline simply confirms.

As per the Sun Sentinel.com:

A spokesman for R Kelly, real name Robert, tells gossip site PageSix.com, "This is not the first time Carey has made ridiculous accusations against his brother, and we're not going to dignify them with a comment."

Carey also claims the 39-year-old penned hit track Trapped In The Closet to voice his homosexual tendencies.

SACRAMENTO, California (AP) -- Prosecutors said they had to drop a case against a man accused of trying to accost an 11-year-old girl because a judge wouldn't allow testimony about a slang term involving singer R. Kelly.

Tamiko Carter, 30, approached the girl last September while she was walking to school and asked her how old she was, prosecutors said.

When she told him she was 11, Carter allegedly asked whether she had a boyfriend, "then told her he was fixing to do an 'R. Kelly."'

Carter allegedly pulled his car to the curb and opened the door, but the girl ran away.

Kelly, a singer from Chicago, has pleaded not guilty to 14 counts of child pornography in Cook County Circuit Court. The charges stem from a February 2002 videotape that allegedly showed Kelly and a 14-year-old performing numerous sex acts.

The prosecutor's office said Kelly's name is now listed in the "Urban Dictionary" as a verb that means to have sex with an underage girl.

Prosecutors had planned to present testimony from the 11-year-old girl and an expert witness who would testify that Carter was referring to that definition.

But Sacramento County Superior Court Judge Lloyd Phillips refused Thursday to allow the testimony, and the district attorney's office said it couldn't pursue the case without it.

Kelly, whose first name is Robert, won a Grammy for the gospel-like song "I Believe I Can Fly." He's also known for sexually charged music such as "Bump N' Grind" and "Ignition."
