The 29-year singer was first discovered when Prince overheard him singing in the restroom of his Paisley Park studio complex. He was subsequently invited to join a private jam session with Carlos Santana and Larry Graham from Sly and the Family Stone and within weeks, Blackshire was touring the arenas of the world singing backup on Prince's world tour. The Arkansas native has since shared the stage with the likes of George Clinton, Erykah Badu and Lenny Kravitz among others and his unique take on soul and r&b and vocal riffing is sure to win him many fans on this side of the pond.
