I'm Pissed Off.

Grr... there's a whole bunch of great records not being remastered & transferred over to CD-format... Someone needs to start remastering Rick James's early stuff and start printing it on CDs...mad...

I agree,it's a damn shame that most of Rick James' albums are not on CD.What's wrong with Motown/Universal?? How many compilations are they gonna give us? I want the actual albums!! They also need to re-master the Commodores catalog. Most of their classic 70s albums have never appeared on CD!!

I know what you mean.I can't see why they won't simply release this stuff on CD.Presumably, they own the master recordings.

Also, most of Cameos early stuff is not available on CD. Cameosis and Ugly Ego are the only ones on CD. The later stuff is probably on CD but I mean cmon... Cameo just wasn't the same after it became a four-man (and later, three-man) band sad

Motown, in general, seems to be the worst with this. The only way to get Supremes albums on CD is through limited edition, high priced Hip-o Select.

If you ask me, Motown seriously dropped the ball on re-issuing Rick James' album on CD back when Dave Chappelle was doing his skits. That got alot of people talking about Rick again.

Then Rick died and Motown didn't offer any re-issues either.

I had some anthology before, but around 2003 or 2004 I ended up buying his separate albums on cassette or cd.

Maybe Rick James is another thing Hip-O Select will have to look after. neutral

I burned all my Rick James albums onto CDs. nana What they need to do is release all his 12 Inches on CD. I hear there are some that I never knew existed such as "Come Into My Life".

Yeah,Motown really sucks. They have one of the most incredible catalogs ever, and they don't know what to do with it.
