Is there anything in the way of remasters/special editions for Kate Bush's back catalouge planned?

I just started listening to Kate Bush and found she is extremely awesome, but I also found that all of the CD pressings of her albums seem to be extremely old, which makes me wonder if there are plans to remaster them or something soon. I just want to make sure I don't buy a bunch of her stuff only to find superior versions released months later.

So, can anyone help me out on this?

This Woman's Work Anthology was remastered, but I'm fine with the stuff I have, I really don't need most reissues or remasters.

Very good, I won't hesitate to purchase what's currently available, then. Remasters are nice and all, but I want to start collecting her stuff now rather than waiting till god knows when for better versions.

Thanks to both of you for your help.

Not sure if you're aware but Hounds Of Love was remastered with extra tracks in 1999 (I think). I actually prefer the earlier version.

BTW been playing the second disc of Aerial alot lately. worship

i couldn't listen to hounds of love with extra stuff at the end. it's perfect as it is originally.

The last I heard, EMI are planning on releasing remasters but it's Kate so... God knows when that'll be. Cloudbuster or AnckSuNamun would probably have more details. nod

Unless you're very patient, you may just fancy getting what's already out there. HMV and Virgin have had her back catalogue on sale recently. nod

Enjoy the ride!

Some of the bonus tracks are better than the annoying Running Up That Hill.

I see... so you don't prefer the original cd because of "sound issues"... I only know the remastered edition you see...

But the sound quality is SO superior to the orignal disc, and the remaster has the brilliant "Under The Ivy" (one of Kate's best songs). You can always program the disc to only play the songs you want to hear!

Yeah....Under the Ivy's my favorite song.....depending on my mood. I like the remix to The Big Sky too.....much better than the orginal version. "Burning Bridge"....."Be Kind To My Mistakes"....can't leave those out smile I'm not too crazy about My Lagan Love though, but only because I'm not really into acapellas.

i might pick it up someday...i nearly did yesterday when i saw it at tower, but i'd already bought a copy of "the dreaming" earlier in the day and didn't wanna overdo it with kate...i like to get one album of hers at a time and really get to know it before i get something else of hers i haven't heard.
