No one's arguing, kid, I just think it's kinda an asshole comment to make that it's quite alright to push a girl as long as you didn't hit her. End of story. Oh Please. Where did I say it's quite alright to push a girl as long as you don't hit her?

Krytonite said: Jay-Z pushed the girl, not hit her. Jigga would have been sued if he did. Well, what's your point, then? He could have been just as easily sued for pushing her. What's the difference?

I remember that. That freaked me out when I first saw it too. I was like oh my God. It was kinda funny cause he pushed her so hard, but that was a girl and I was like that is NOT cool. It was supposed to have been a joke for the cameras, tho and the girl was in on it. BS [Edited 2/17/06 16:40pm] I graduated bitches!!! 12-19-09

[Edited 2/17/06 16:40pm] it really doesnt matter if it was staged or not. it was very disrespectful and if it was staged i feel sorry for her for letting him disrespect her like that. it lets other girls think that shit is okay and it ain't

for the record...
yes this is VERY old yes, this was a joke and the person Jay-Z pushed was not a little girl... She was a grown woman sitting in a chair who has confirmed it was a joke... she worked for him on the tour he was beating up everybody smaller than him on that tour, staff, fellow rappers, everybosy, that chick worked for them on the tour, and he got her too, I mean seriously, look at the faces of the guys around them, do they even look slightly concerned? no. This is how media and portions of the story create rumors and things get taken out of context. Folks wind up getting the wrong idea instead of the main idea.

Of course it doesn't look right because who ever edited this wanted the 4 seconds of footage to appear to the viewer in a different context. If you've seen all of the footage of this particular segment, then you probably wouldn't be disturbed... you'd probably be laughing as well.

I "play" fight with my wife all the time. I'm sure if someone videotaped it and edited it down to a mere 4 seconds, then yes, I would appear to be an abusive man as well. Abuse against anyone whether it be women, children, etc is a horrible thing. But don't let 4 seconds of video allow you to make a well informed decision about the context.
