MJ and Freddie Mercury

After seeing Prince at this years Celebration, it is almost blasphemous to mention Michael Jackson on this site. Michael Jackson is bush league compared to Prince. Prince is the greatest musician ever. Michael Jackson is a washed up pop star. End of story.

thanx for the post. heard about these recordings in '94 or '95. have always wondered what it sounded like. the first one is nice, nothing special though (is freddy playing piano or something?). 'state of shock' sounds really crappy; big mick did a far better job.

can you relate?

Don't know this 4 myself but from what i read the first one has been released b4, writen by mj, per4med by queen and was rerecorded as a piano track with freddie singing only 1 verse and playing piano throughout the song.
The State of shock demo is the original, unfinished demo. When FM went on tour MJ asked Mick 2 finish the song. That's probably y it sounds crappy.

they were supose to do 3 songs.I Read somewhere where Brian May said MJ didn't want the 3 tracks placed on a Special Queen Box Set.they did a song called "Victory" for the Jackson's Album but it didn't make the Cut.MJ&Freddie were cool back in the day in fact it was MJ that suggested that Queen pick "Another One Bites the Dust" as there Single&it went on to do big Business.

i didnt really like "there most be more to life than this.." it was a little too sappy for me...but i did love State of Shock with Freddie...both men are great beat boxers and create some cool sounds with their mouths. smile
